Co-organise and participate in one of the conference opening workshops



WHAT ARE THEY?

Format: Interactive workshops of 75 minutes in length with Q&A - co-organised by three (3) or more Fibre Council Europe member companies
Topic:
  • Proposed workshops should provide the latest industry insights into fibre technologies, solutions and strategies that support the deployment and adoption of digital networks across Europe.
  • Workshop content should demonstrate thought leadership by showcasing innovation, sharing best practice and/or addressing key industry challenges associated with delivering full-fibre connectivity across Europe.
  • Workshops must be educational and non-commercial in nature. Branded product presentations, sales pitches, product demonstrations, or any other form of marketing or promotion are strictly prohibited. Any workshop that does not comply with this requirement may be removed from the programme or stopped immediately.

Speakers:

  • It is encouraged that proposed speakers should include senior level external speakers from (for example) telecoms operators, NRAs, investors, financial analysts etc.
  • We also strongly encourage diversity and gender balance when selecting speakers and the presence of female speakers will be considered during the selection process.
Location: Workshop Rooms, Level 0 and Level 2
Provided Set-up:

The Fibre Council Europe provides the necessary technical infrastructure for workshops and as standard will include the following room set-up and technical equipment: 

  • 1 x stage of approx 6 x 3 metres with 4 x low comfortable chairs 
  • 1 x lectern/podium and 1 x low table for laptop 
  • 1 x video projector and screen with automatic slide advancer 
  • 1 x 3 channel mixer with 3 microphones – 1 x headset mic, 2 x handheld microphones  
  • Audience seating will be laid out in ‘theatre’ style with 250+ pax

HOW IT WORKS

Booking: Members wishing to organise a workshop for the Fibre Horizons 2027 are invited to submit their proposals before Friday 16 October 2026. Deadlines must be observed.
Slides: Final Slide Decks to be provided no later than Friday 12 February 2027 for submission of final PowerPoint Slides for review by Fibre Council Europe Board
Promotion:

Workshops will be published as part of the Conference programme on our conference website and mobile app and promoted on our Conference newsletter and social media channels.
In addition, we actively promote workshops via one or more dedicated email communication and push notifications on the mobile app.
We also encourage you to promote your workshop through your own communication channels.

On site:

Your speakers should arrive at your allocated Workshop Room 30 minutes before start of their presentation for a technical check. 
Conference staff will assist set-up, hand out microphones and be available for support in case of technical difficulties.
All delegates are free to join Workshops, no pre-registration required.

Attendee Details: You will receive a list of the delegates who attended your Workshop shortly after the event.
Best suited for: Demonstrating thought leadership, expertise and detailed knowle of the industry.  Presenting broad solution approaches to address industry challenges. Audience interaction is encouraged to seek attendee engagement and broad input into the subject matter.
